Good To Knows

As a small independent brand, ethical fashion is key to our ethos. We're focused on making one of a kind dresses only when purchased consciously.

 Manufacture

  • All dresses are handmade with love in the UK by Founder Frankie.
  • We also partner with London-based artisans for sampling and production, reducing shipping impact while supporting local businesses.

Materials

  • Dresses are nestled neatly with tissue paper, sealed with a Franks sticker and delivered in cardboard boxes and fastened with masking tape for ease to recycle.
  • Fabrics have been responsibly sourced to find the very best qualities that stand out, using from left over stock where possible.

Longevity

  • Our design ethos centres on products that last beyond seasonal trends, coupled with thoroughly tested production techniques, our aim is that every Franks piece can and will be treasured for many years.
  • Our detailed care instructions help to protect the longevity of our products, and in rare instances of fault or failure we endeavour to repair items rather than replace them.

    Care Guide

    Sequin

Sequins can be prone to fall due to the nature of the attachment process on to a fabric quality. Careful treatment is advised to keep them in perfect condition. We recommend storing your Franks item in a box or dust bag.

    Satin

Satin can snag so take care when wearing bags or brushing against surfaces. Avoid oil substances as this can soil into the fabric and make it hard to remove. Think of it as a faux fur pampering session!

    Jewellery
Each piece of Franks jewellery is a handmade artisan product; slight variations are to be expected and careful treatment is advised to keep them in perfect condition. We recommend storing your jewellery in its bag.

    Dry Cleaning
Often we find that careful spot cleaning and/or steaming will do the trick to refresh your Franks pieces before their next wear. However, when the time comes for a more thorough clean, we recommend using an eco (perchlorethylene-free) dry cleaning service, which will generally be both gentler on your clothes and less harmful to the environment.

    Repairs
If your Franks item has been damaged, Frankie will be happy to offer suggestions and advice for repair; email a photo and description to frankie@franksldn.co.uk and we will be sure to get back to you.
